We repair the damage of years — and never invent a face.
A photograph is the only evidence a moment ever happened. We treat it that way. We remove the scratches, creases, silvering, and fading, and we recover only what the image still holds — one face or twenty, the whole crew, the animals, the mountain behind them. Where damage has taken part of a face, we resolve it softly and honestly rather than inventing it. Then, if you wish, we let the colour run warm again — the way it looked to the people who were there. Nothing added. No one you couldn’t recognise across a hundred years.

A family gathered on a hotel terrace with the snow peaks behind them — the trip they talked about for the rest of their lives. We keep every face exactly as the glass plate held it and let the mountain light run warm again, as though it were filmed in Technicolor the summer it happened.

Giants of the forest, and the men who felled them.
A crew of loggers stands on the springboard notch of a Douglas fir so vast it dwarfs them all, crosscut saws and double-bit axes in hand. Every weathered face, every suspender and boot, the great cut trunk and the ferns beyond — restored exactly as the day the shutter fell, nothing invented.

Dust, ribbons, and the pride of the ring.
A champion bull and the stockmen who raised him, squared up in the arena at the Pendleton Round-Up. We hold the animal’s true bulk and markings and every man’s face, and bring back the ochre dust and afternoon glare in the fine grain of modern colour film.
